The new features in the API is that you can select the standard TLD to be used by each API, so for example if you setup a new API key and select ryqn.com as the stanard API domain then your links will all be starting with that domain name for that API key.

Another change is that it will also be possible to use your own paths. For example in the past you got a random link, but now you can brand your links and select something that's easy for you to remember like for example 2ve.org/xavier.

It's also possible to use the API without a key, but then you get gd.is short links.

To make it posible to have even more short links available in the API we've added two new TLDs you can choose from and that's ryqn.com and xvr.me (XaVieR.MEdia). With this upgrade we've also made it possible for us to easily expand the number of domains used at any time without much work at all.

A new feature is that you can now also like the Facebook page and comment via Facebook. If you like the Facebook page you get to see the oneline jokes in your Facebook timeline. Nice isn't it?

Some of th themes we use for sites and blogs like at XavierMedia.com or at this site, got a big picture above the blog posts and if no other picture is selected when the blog post is published a random image from XavierMedia.dk is used instead of just a blank box. It's a little bit more fun with a picture from one of the places we've visited then just a blank box, don't you agree?

Most of these photos have been taken by me (Andreas) for Xavier Media, so you're welcome to use the photos yourself on your web site as long as you give me and Xavier Media credit for it . 1. Pages just setup to promote products sold at Amazon
2. Pages with just affiliate links and almost no content
3. Pages setup just to trick people into buying/downloading software

These quality rules are setup to protect the quality of the status messages posted at MyXavier and they may change as other types of spam appears at MyXavier. If any of your posts are considered spam, @spam will send you a warning telling you how many percentages of your status update was considered spam. If you don't increase the quality of your status messages you account may be closed by @spam.

To explain how @spam is working you could simply say it's looking at the links included in your status updates and if the quality of the link doesn't comply with the above defined rules you will get a warning. You will get a warning if @spam thinks your status update and link is considered to be more than 50% spam.

On XavierMedia.com about 25% of the users are using a version of Internet Explorer an as much as 30% of them are using IE6. To encourage all the users of IE6 we're adding a text at the top of most of our pages letting them know that they're using an old and out-dated web browser. The users with IE6 will be suggested 4 updated web browsers: Firefox, Opera, Internet Explorer 8 and Chrome.

At the same time as we're asking users to upgrade to a newer web browser with much fewer security issues, we will also stop testing our web projects in IE6. This means that if you use IE6 you may or may not be able to use our services in the future.

If you as a web developer, blogger or web site owner also would like to add the same message box asking people with old web browsers to update you can find the code you need at IE6 no more.com. They have codes for several languages like for example English, Spanish and Swedish. Users with new web browsers will of course not have to see the message box at all since it will only show when people with IE6 visit your site.
